Thrift Lake
Located NE of the main lodge, up the river past the airstrip, you will find the Thrift Rapids. The rapids flow into Hatchet Lake from Thrift Lake. To access the portage lake you must make a short 2 minute walk on a wooden boardwalk that runs along the rapids. At the top of the rapids you will find two more fishing boats reading to go. Just bring your gear and your coolers if you wish to have lunch while fishing on the new lake.
Thrift Lake is well known for its great walleye fishing! If you are interested in catching a walleye, Thrift Lake is an excellent option to score some walleye for lunch. Small to average sized northern pike are also plentiful here but don’t be surprised if you hook into a trophy! Early in June you can also catch lake trout at some of the narrows on Thrift.

Corson lake
Located West of the lodge on the Fond du Lac River. Corson Lake is accessible by a short walk or in years of high water a short boat ride through the Corson Rapids.
With all 4 of the main fish species available at Corson Lake it makes for a fantastic day trip while staying at the lodge. You will find some of the best Arctic grayling fishing in the fast moving waters of Corson Rapids. At the bottom of the rapids both trophy northern pike and walleye are frequently caught by our guests. To complete your Grand Slam try one of the few deep holes on Corson Lake to catch a lake trout.

Le Drew Lake
Located just of the SW corner of Hatchet Lake connected by a short stream, Le Drew is accessible by a 1/2 mile portage. At the other end of the walking trail to Le Drew Lake you will find two fishing boats ready to go for your time on the lake. The lake is known for its trophy northern pike and the occasional large walleye. Le Drew is our furthest portage lake from the lodge as to get to the trail head you must make a 20 minute boat ride across the lake first. Guests that enjoy fishing Le Drew typically will fish Hatchet for the morning, have shore lunch at the portage point to Le Drew and then make the trip for the afternoon.
