Note: *$500 extra for singles and odd number groups for a 5day/4night stay, $1000 for 9day/8night stay. Shuttle service and continental breakfast is included with room rate and will only be available for registered guests at the Fairmont. For those who choose to not stay at the Fairmont, we will not be responsible to get you to our aircraft for departure.

Private Pilot Information

Each season, private and corporate pilots from all over North America choose Hatchet's 6,000' approved compacted sand, clay and gravel runway as their destination.

From Canadian Regional's 60 passenger F-28s, Convair 580 Prop-Jets, Cessna Citations, Twin Beech 100's or King Airs to Mooney and Beechcraft and other high performance aircraft, we see a wide variety of aircraft each season. The Hatchet Lake Lodge runway is located:

Corporate Jet and Fuel Information…

Corporate Jets

Corporate Jets can now land at Points North runway which is equipped with ILS and only 32 miles south of the lodge. Then the Hatchet Lake Lodge float plane can pick you up and bring you to the lodge. Hatchet's main runway is located two miles from the main lodge.

Both Jet fuel and Av Gas is available 32 miles south at Points North Landing:

Private Pilot Information…

The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon

The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel has a fantastic setting overlooking the stunning South Saskatchewan River. Take a stroll along the Meewasin River Valley trail, explore the boutique shops or enjoy one of the many great restaurants. The Sheraton was selected for it’s fantastic location, great service and perfect ambassadors of the Hatchet experience. We have secured special room rates for Hatchet Guests, so be sure to ask for it when you call to make your reservations. (Schedule your overnight stay at the Sheraton for the day before your scheduled departure date).

When you check-in, you’ll receive special Hatchet lake Lodge “luggage tags” and an information sheet which will bring you up to date on the departure time for the following morning. We have arranged a chartered bus to pick you up at the hotel and it will take you to the airport without charge.

Check-In

Hail any taxi at the airport, and have them take you and your gear to the Sheraton Cavalier.

Before you check into your room, go to the Hatchet Lake Lodge table situated in the lobby. Here you will find a guest list with cabin assignments. Write your party name and cabin number on the green luggage tags provided. These tags will ensure proper placement of your belongings when you arrive at the lodge the following morning.

Departure

A Hatchet Lake Lodge "Ground Coordinator" will be onsite in the lobby, to ensure that you and your gear find your way to the private bus transportation, departing at 6:00 AM sharp for the Saskatoon Airport. Our chartered flight to the lodge is airborne at 6:45 AM.
