To access these prices, use our authorized Northwest Airlines travel agency: Travel Advisors International/American Express. Let them know you are planning a trip to Hatchet...and they'll do the rest!

Shuttle service and continental breakfast is included with room rate and will only be available for registered guests at the Fairmont. For those who choose to not stay at the Fairmont, we will not be responsible to get you to our aircraft for departure.

Private Pilot Information

Each season, private and corporate pilots from all over North America choose Hatchet's 6,000' approved compacted sand, clay and gravel runway as their destination.

From Canadian Regional's 60 passenger F-28s, Convair 580 Prop-Jets, Cessna Citations, Twin Beech 100's or King Airs to Mooney and Beechcraft and other high performance aircraft, we see a wide variety of aircraft each season. The Hatchet Lake Lodge runway is located:

If arriving by private aircraft, our complete package runs $3495.00 (2008 rate) for 5 days/4 nights.

Corporate Jet and Fuel Information…

Corporate Jets

Corporate Jets can now land at Points North runway which is equipped with ILS and only 32 miles south of the lodge. Then the Hatchet Lake Lodge float plane can pick you up and bring you to the lodge. Hatchet's main runway is located two miles from the main lodge.

Both Jet fuel and Av Gas is available 32 miles south at Points North Landing:

Private Pilot Information…

The Fairmont Winnipeg

The Fairmont Hotel is simply the finest hotel in Winnipeg. I know this for a fact, as I personally toured all of the major hotel properties in Winnipeg and selected the Fairmont as our starting point for your trip to Hatchet Lake Lodge. We have a special room rate arranged for Hatchet Guests, so be sure to ask for it when you call to make reservations. (Schedule your overnight at the Fairmont for the day before your scheduled departure date.)

The Fairmont staff are wonderful folks and they'll make you feel right at home. When you check-in, you'll receive special Hatchet Lake Lodge "luggage tags" and an information sheet which will bring you up to date on the departure time for the following morning. We have arranged a chartered bus to pick you up at the hotel and it will take you to the airport without charge.

Check-In

Hail any taxi at the airport, and have them take you and your gear to the Fairmont Hotel (10 Minute Ride; $12-15 Canadian)

Before you check into your room, go to the Hatchet Lake Lodge table situated in the lobby. Here you will find a guest list with cabin assignments. Write your party name and cabin number on the green luggage tags provided. These tags will ensure proper placement of your belongings when you arrive at the lodge the following morning.

Departure

A Hatchet Lake Lodge "Ground Coordinator" will be onsite in the lobby, to ensure that you and your gear find your way to the private bus transportation, departing at 4:45AM sharp, for the Winnipeg International Airport (Esso Avitat). Our chartered flight to the lodge is airborne at 6:00 am.
