Located east of Hatchet Lake, Charcoal Lake is accessible by a 25 minute floatplane trip in the Turbo Otter. Charcoal is the biggest of our flyout destinations, running 30+ kilometres long and 6 kilometres wide at it's widest point. The lake is made up of countless bays giving you endless fishing opportunities. The Cochrane River flows out of Wollaston Lake, through Charcoal, all the way to the border of Manitoba. Due to it's large size, the lake can prove difficult to fish on days of high NE or SW winds. But catch this lake on a calm day and you are in for some incredible fishing. You can catch all 4 species of the Hatchet Lake Grand Slam on Charcoal Lake; northern pike, lake trout, arctic grayling and walleye. With 3 boats available on Charcoal we can accommodate up to 6 fishermen/women on a flyout, along with their guides.
